4 Act Play

High school is like a four act play.  Every act, you are a little more experienced.  Every year, you become a little bit more self-assured.  The freshman enter this show thinking they are hot stuff....yet realize deep down how young they are.  The seniors?  Think of them like the A-list celebrities.  They have this high school thing down pat.

We all walk around, with acne like constellations on our faces, trying to act like we know what we're doing.  The boys try out their new voices and the girls figure out the best way to bat their eyelashes.  Things are fun, exciting, and so cool.  Life is full of teachers, homework, hanging out with the cool people, and wearing all of the cool clothes.  People either wholeheartedly accept being in the hip group, or they play the whole, 'I'm not in the hip group, but I'm hip here let me go play Pokemon' thing. There are the jocks, the players, the cool by association, the nice people, the non, the druggies, the jerks, the unsures, the everything.

I always like going to high school events and just watching those around me.  My favorite is to see people flirt, or finally accomplish something that they hadn't thought possible.  It's interesting seeing these people in terms of long term.  Who is going to succeed, who is thinking of the year they graduate, who is going to be reliving these days the rest of their days.

High school....what an...interesting experience.

And let's see my high school beginnings....

Junior Year

Sophomore Year

Freshman Year ...obviously I have a gray thing going on...

You know throwback Thursday?  Think of it as montage Monday.
