Miracle

Today was a day that I asked for a miracle.  A miracle that would solve my problems and leave me with a really great story to share with others about the goodness of God.

I didn't get a miracle today.  My parking situation wasn't magically fixed.  My throat still hurts.  I'm exhausted.  Homework is continuous.  I feel like there are so many things balancing my schedule right now, and I don't know if I want to do it anymore.

I don't have some awe-inspiring story to tell.  It's just a bunch of tender mercies that told me that God is in fact listening and is making my life ok, even if it wasn't miraculous in the way that I wanted.

1. My mom picked up the phone when I was worried about housing.
2. My sister asked if I was ok, even though I hadn't told her that I wasn't.
3. I was able to change meeting times with my peer mentor.
4. I got my cleaning check done.
5. The projector didn't work in my geology class so we got out early.
6. Meaning I had enough time to go to the rental place offices.
7. I got a 100% on my accounting quiz.
8. I don't feel nauseous anymore, just sore throaty.
9. My friend texted me and asked if I was ok.
10. The 'master planning' meeting went just fine.

Some may look at that list and tell me how many miracles God performed for me today.  Instead, I like looking at that list and seeing how many mercies God sent to me, not miracles.  He doesn't always save us in the middle of the storm and whisk us to dry land.  Sometimes He just calms the storm enough for you to catch your breath.

Currently in my Life.

1. I absolutely cannot stop listening to this song.  Seriously, on repeat, again and again.  Bring a box of tissues for the music video.
2. I bought this dress from Shabby Apple.  It came yesterday, and I love it.  I can't wait to wear my red tights with it.
3. This.  I really love the reminder.
EVERY THING IS GOING TO BE O.K. Art Print
4. I was thinking about it this past week, and this
was amazing.  How lucky am I!
5. I've really been liking purple lately.  Weird.
6. I had a mint Sprite this past summer.  I remembered it, and I really can't wait to try to replicate it.
7.  I want you to remind the young people in your life to take them seriously.  And the old people.  And everyone in between.  It's a rare opportunity you have to interact with people, and you should take precautions to make sure that it's good interaction.
8. I'm looking for a new book to read.  If I reread one more thing I might cry.
9. Have a great Saturday.  I don't even know what to do with myself, having two free Saturdays in a row.
10. Treat yourself today.  Have a soda in the afternoon.  Or chocolate in the morning.  Whichever.

Uno-Diez

1. This song.  Don't worry, I hopped on this band wagon in the spring, like everyone else, but still, all of these months later, it still gets to me.
2. The fall leaves are beautiful!  I mean gorgeous.  Kind of jaw-dropping.  "I'm so glad I live in world where there are Octobers." (Anne of Green Gables).
3. Hot fudge shake?  I'm down with that.
4. Bad news?  It was a shake kind of day.
5. I really have a whoooolllleee lot of homework to be doing right now.
6. At least I am recognizing when I need to take a step back and calm down.
7. Take that meanie face.  I'm over it.
8. It is blessedly a Tuesday.  (How's that for positive attitude!)
9. Wish I had time to go running today.
10.  I am 99.99% sure my outfit tomorrow contains tights.  This is exciting.  (Be excited!)

1-10

Ugh.  I've been thinking about this blog lately.  Thinking about life lately.  Thinking about how chocolate chip cookies might be an excellent definition of heaven.

I had an amazing trip to Valley Forge this past week.  And I honestly truly want to write about it.  But not right now.  Right now I'm still feeling all warm and fuzzy from a free Saturday and one that I might actually clean and/or study on.  I'm feeling positive and scared out of my wits.  Awkward combo. I would recommend going with fries and a drink in the future.

So maybe later.

1. I made chocolate chip cookies last night.  And they are perfect.
2. Got new curtains up in my room.  And took down the dusty, faded lanterns.  And I may be getting a globe in there soon ish.
3. Umm..Forever 21 has an app?  And I didn't know about this?
4. Just Give Me a Reason.  By P!nk.  Enough said.
5. I'm going to be studying outside today.  Code for, It's actually sunny!
6.Sore arms aren't bad.
7. I'm not kidding, I have this weird feeling of smiling and crying all at the same time.  It's going to be a rough week.
8. I am going to be spending the weekend with my little college sister soon.  Have I mentioned that we are best friends?  I feel like that's kind of important to mention.
9. There are still some people that I am still mad at over some circumstances this week.  Sometimes it seems like I am so over high school.
10.  Currently my plan after high school is to go to college and major in business.  Yep, that seems like a big deal to me to say.  So accordingly, do a silent cheer in your head and relish in the gravity of that announcement.  Good job.

1-10

1. I've got Spring Fever.  Yep, completely different than this.  Spring fever involves dance parties, open windows, and color!
2. Remind me to not even get on the Forever 21 website to window shop for jewelry.  I will suddenly start wanting all sorts of stuff.
3. Am currently wearing red lipstick.  While I do my homework.  Just for fun.  #crazygirlobsessedwithhomework
4. I always feel hip when using hashtags.  Try to be hip whenever possible.
5.  I drive the speed limit because it's been my secret desire all of my life to lead a parade.
6.  ... Hopefully number five made sense.
7. Two words make a big difference in one's life.
8.  Especially when those two words are SPRING BREAK!
9. I wonder how much would go unsaid if people knew just how much pain they were causing to others.
10. Window shopping for fedoras.  Maybe it is like summer love.

Told ya I was crazy.  Impersonating Snow White here.  That will soon change!  (Thank Heavens!)

1-10

1. I have finally come to terms with Valentine's Day.  I used to be an angsty, little eighth grader who never got a flower.  Thanks Heavens I am not thirteen years old anymore.
2. I am going a week without applying heat to my hair....it's interesting.
3. My dad's sick.  It's always strange when my parents are sick.
4.  People at Acceleration think I have a really great attitude.  Ha. :)
5. Feeling ish-ish about homeowork.  (Come one, ish-ish is a word.)
6. Ish is quite possibly my favorite adjective ever.
7. That is what half a year of A.P. English will get you.  ish.
8. I got a Boston Creme doughnut today.  Hmm...I should try to make Boston Creme Pie sometime. Oh and a Kentucky Derby one...that's a cake right?
9. My sista is coming home this weekend!
10. It is really truly Hump Day.  Can't decide if this week is long or short.  Maybe normal?

3. I am still going though hot chocolate and froyo withdrawals.

6. I am feeling motivated to exercise lately.  That is a happy thing!
7. I heard some interesting thoughts today that I have been mulling over.  One, for example, is that Heavenly Father wanted my in this body and with these characteristics and talents that I have.
8.  I was slightly validated in something today.  Probably not something I should feel good about, since it wasn't the nicest.
9. I had to branch out at lunch today.  It was actually kind of fun to talk to those I haven't for awhile.
10. Wahoo it's Wednesday!  Also, wahoo is my new fave thing to say.

Also, kudos to the Starbucks people for spelling my name right on my hot chocolate!
